IIAC 2012 Financial Post Investment Outlook Luncheon Series

The Financial Post Investment Outlook Luncheon Series Tour, presented by IIAC (in association with the Empire Club of Canada), wrapped up in Montreal on Monday January 16th. The annual January luncheon speaker series hosts a panel of distinguished experts from the Canadian Investment Industry. This year the panel varied from city to city beginning in Toronto on Thursday, January 5th followed by luncheons in Halifax, Vancouver, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Ottawa, and Montreal.

2011 Investment Outlook Luncheon Series

In 2011 IIAC hosted the first Investment Industry Outlook Luncheon Series, with Luncheons in Toronto on January 6 (in association with The Empire Club of Canada), Montreal on January 7, and Vancouver on January 10th. Over 500 people attended the Toronto event, and over 200 in each of Vancouver and Montreal. IIAC brought a panel of speakers who provided their Outlook for the investment industry for the upcoming year. This year's speakers included such notable industry executives as Peter Gibson, Managing Director, CIBC World Markets; Nick Barisheff, President, Bullion Management Group Inc.; Diane Francis, Financial Post Editor-in-Large, National Post; Thomas S. Caldwell, Founder and Chairman, Caldwell Financial Ltd (Toronto); Murray Leith, Vice President and Director, Investment Research, Odlum Brown Limited (Vancouver); Don Macpherson, Political Columnist, The Gazette (Montreal); Pascal Duquette, President and CEO, Natcan Investment Management (Montreal); and the Honourable Michael M Fortier, PC, Former Minister of International Trade (Canada) & Vice-Chair, RBC Capital Markets (Montreal).
